On Eid al-Adha, Muslims demonstrate their obedience to Allah by sacrificing an animal. The holiday is inspired by a story from the Quran that is also known to Christians and Jews.

Is Eid al-Adha a Public Holiday?

This is a non-working holiday only for people who follow the Muslim faith. Public organizations, schools, and most businesses are open, though some private enterprises may have reduced hours.
